(KSL News) -- The past week or so has featured a little over 10 inches of snow in portions of Salt Lake City.
It has been a little on the cold side, but that didn't stop one family from getting creative. Located off of Redwood Road, is their snow fort, complete with windows and a small flag and was made by using rubbermaid totes and buckets.
The snow fort is about eight feet high and took about 12 hours to build.
Ryan Hilkey, Snow Fort Builder: "I came out at night and sprayed it with water because someone tried to kick it down, and I wanted it to be icy. So then I just took a spray bottle and sprayed it down with warm water at night so it would put a crust on it."
Visitors have been stopping by and are welcome, of course. Ryan says he may even add some color to the white snow castle. If you want to see it, stop by 1400 W. 2320 S.
