(KSL News) A judge may allow the parents of Parker Jensen to sue the agencies that tried to force them to give their son cancer treatment.
The Jensen case, back in 2003, put parental rights up against state responsibility to protect children.
Doctors and the Division of Child and Family Services got a court order to force the family to treat Parker.
The Jensens left town to avoid the court order.
They claim officials lied during a hearing to force chemotherapy.
Eventually Parker's parents allowed doctors to remove a growth from Parker's mouth. He is now cancer free.
