OREM, Utah (AP) -- David Schroeder scored 19 points tonight to lead Idaho State to a 68-to-67 victory over Utah Valley State.

The Wolverines (14-13) led 60-to-58 with less than two minutes remaining, but Idaho State scored six straight points to go ahead by four.

Akbar Abdul-Ahad was 6-for-6 from the free throw line in the final 20 seconds to help Idaho State (12-13) preserve its lead.

Twice in the final six seconds, Utah Valley State had a chance to tie the score by making a 3-pointer. But both times the Wolverines hit two-point baskets.

Schroeder scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half and shot 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. Kasey Winters added 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Bengals.

Pierre Thomas led Utah Valley with 13 points and five assists.
