PARK CITY -- The temperature is up to the 90s in Salt Lake, but things are much cooler if you head to the mountains. That's why so many tourists and locals head to Park City.

When the only white on these mountains is the "PC" emblazoned on them, skiing takes a backseat to a different kind of fun.

So, I got the rough assignment of showing all the fun things you could do in Park City in the summer. The town is known for its trails, so we're ditching the news car and the nylons to show you what you can do from my bike.

There are miles of bike trails at the Park City Resort. You can ride the lift up…or you can ride the fun way and earn the ride down by biking your way up. Either way, many of the trails end here with tons of fun things to do.

There are lots of ways to get down the hill - the Alpine slide, a coaster, a zipline - there's a method of transportation for all ages and thrill levels.

Andy miller/communication manager, park city mountain resort: "we really value the family experience. We know we get a lot of fans so we want to make our activities friendly for them," says Andy Miller, the communication manager for the resort. They have miles of paved trail as well, that lead to, among other things, one of the landmarks of the city - Main Street - which means on many evenings they lead to outdoor concerts or activities.

So when you've had enough of the trails, you can always head to Main Street, where you'll find a ton of options for good food and treats.

This weekend, Main Street will close for one of the highlight events of the year, the Park City Arts Festival.

"It's an absolute community-wide effort to have the best weekend entertainment and beat the heat," said Robin Marrouche, the executive director of the Kimball Arts Center.

While the Arts Festival runs through the weekend, the mountain biking only lasts until the snow flies.
