Paul Nelson, KSL Newsradio A little girl in Pleasant View is found after missing for about 16 hours. Officials are now looking into why the girl wandered off.

Officials were successful in their search for 7-year-old Nada Leal.

"[I'm] glad we over-responded and had a good ending and located the little 7-year-old girl," Pleasant View Police Chief Scott Jackson said.

Jackson said she was found in the home of a new friend, and reportedly told the woman of the house she had permission to stay over.

Jackson said her parents stayed pretty casual while she was missing. "Their show of concern was much different than I would expect if yours or my 7-year-old daughter had been missing all night," he explained.

Jackson said she has a history of wandering off, and Division of Child and Family Services officials are looking into why.
