SALT LAKE CITY -- Police are looking for two men who shot a man in his hand Thursday evening as he entered a home during a burglary.
Police said the nephew of the home's owner had come in through back door at about 5:20 p.m. on Aug. 4, only to interrupt two Hispanic males in the middle of a burglary. One fired at the resident with a gun, striking him in the hand. Police did not immediately find the men after a search, and they are still on the run.
They are now trying to determine if the burglars knew the owner or his nephew.
The man was taken to the hospital in good condition and treated for the gunshot wound.
