SANDY — A garage fire spread to a three-unit apartment building Sunday afternoon, temporarily displacing residents there.
About 1:10 p.m., crews arrived at 8471 S. Solar Way to find a detached garage on fire and spreading to the southwest corner of the building.
Crews knocked down the blaze quickly, limiting fire damage to just one of the three units, said Unified Fire Authority Battalion Chief Curtis Day.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, Day said, though it doesn't appear to be caused by fireworks.
No one was injured in the fire, he said.
