Shelley Osterloh ReportingSome of our local Olympians have become media darlings, and one who is getting a lot of face time on TV lately is aerialist Speedy Peterson.

We've seen Peterson on the Today Show a couple of times, and we'll see his some more. His event --Freestyle Aerials-- isn't until next week, but the Park City resident is keeping busy in Torino.

We caught up to Jeret Peterson, who goes by by the name of Speedy, at the USA House. He was there doing interviews and giving exposure to one of his sponsors, the Hilton Hotels. He's the first to admit a lot has changed for Speedy since his Olympic debut four years ago.

Jeret "Speedy" Peterson, US Freestyle Aerialist: "I thought I was all mature when I was 20-years old. But I was kind of a kid in the candy store. And now I'm kind of like the big man on campus, the veteran. I know the ropes, so it's a lot more comfortable for me now. On the other hand, it's a lot more business for me. So I'm doing way more appearances than I did last time."

Appearances on Jay Leno and the Today Show. He even has his mother, Linda, and Grandmother, who he calls Grindin Grandma, in the show.

"Grindin' Grandma", Speedy's Grandmother: "I believe we are going with Katie Friday night. Yea, we are going to go out with Katie Couric down in Torino and grind up the town. I don't think Torino knows what's going to be coming its way. We'll have to take her to Club Bud and have her dance there. I hope I can live up to my reputation."

Linda Peterson, Speedy's Mother: "Oh, you can, no doubt."

And Speedy wants your vote. He's running for the position of Donald Trump's Apprentice.

Speedy Peterson: "And I'm hoping to be one of those people to go up on the show, and say 'What's up?' to Donald Trump. I think that would be pretty sick."

Pretty sick alright. So this is the deal: Donald Trump has said he will include one Olympian in his next Apprentice show audition, but America gets to vote. You can go on the link above and vote. Maybe we'll see one of our Olympians there.
