Woman Gets High School Diploma 76 Years Late

PROVO, Utah (AP) -- There was a special delivery at last night's Provo City School board meeting.

One Provo High School graduate was presented her diploma because she was unable to attend her graduation -- in 1931.

Fullmer was quarantined in her home with red measles during her commencement ceremony and the school never sent her diploma.

Last night, dressed in a cap and gown, she finally got her diploma. Fullmer, who will be 95 at the end of the month tossed her cap in the air.

Fullmer has four children, four step-children, 28 grandchildren, 59 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
