WEST JORDAN — After nearly drowning in an apartment pool Tuesday evening, a 24-year-old West Jordan woman has been transported from Jordan Valley Hospital to University Hospital in Salt Lake City for further treatment.

Other people at the pool at the Stonebridge Apartments, 1601 W. Fox Park Drive in West Jordan, realized the woman had failed to emerge from the water around 7:30 p.m. They saw her apparently lifeless body under the water and brought the unconscious woman poolside, said West Jordan Police Lt. Richard Davis.

A nurse on scene began CPR. When a West Jordan fire crew arrived, the woman's heartbeat was revived, Davis said. She was then transported, still unconscious, to the hospital.

Updated information on her condition is not yet available.
