SALT LAKE CITY -- A semi carrying tanks full of oil caught fire in Salt Lake City Wednesday morning.
The engine of the semi started burning around 5 a.m. at 2300 N. Warm Springs Road. The driver escaped safely and called 911.
Fire crews knocked down the fire within a few minutes after arriving. They kept the fire from reaching the tanks, but the cab of the semi was destroyed.
