SALT LAKE CITY — In May, KSL TV asked for viewers' help in choosing a Utah charity to receive $20,000. Tuesday, the station announced that Primary Children's Medical Center is the winner.
The children's hospital won the money after garnering the most "likes" on the KSL TV Facebook page.
"We have 15,000 friends on Facebook, and I think that was a show of support from the community that we dearly appreciate," said Primary Children's CEO Joe Mott. "Surely that money will be a blessing for children's lives in the community.
The four other charities in the KSL Cares campaign are not walking away empty-handed, though. The Road Home, Catholic Community Services, the YWCA of Salt Lake and United Way of Salt Lake will each receive $1,250.
