GRANTSVILLE -- A stolen vehicle Saturday night led to a fatal car accident minutes later.

At approximately 6:50 p.m. Saturday, a Volkswagen Jetta was reportedly stolen from a Grantsville convenient store, said Grantsville police officer Jim White. Four minutes later, the vehicle was involved in a single vehicle rollover on Mormon Trail Road at the South Willow Road intersection.

The driver, Robert Moon, 36, died at the scene where he was found ejected from the car.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but it appears that the Moon lost control of the vehicle. Officers have not determined if Moon was the person who stole the vehicle.
