SALT LAKE CITY -- Dozens of "hot" cars lined Main Street on Saturday in an effort to support the troops.
Lining the street were 50 Porsche's, revving up for a drive around the city. Their owners brought them out to raise money for the charity Homes for Our Troops.
The non-profit organization builds homes for disabled veterans, with three already constructed in Utah. Organizers are hoping that Saturday's event and other donations will help it build more homes.
"For me, Homes for Our Troops has had a huge impact on my daily life," said Army Specialist Bryant Jacobs. "My home is fully handicap accessible. I can get around. I can be more independent and get back to normality in my life and in my home."
Spec. Jacobs was injured by a roadside bomb in Iraq.
