(KSL News) An early morning fire broke out at a water pump house this morning, threatening to disrupt water service to thousands.
Witnesses reported seeing smoke coming from the ventilation. The pump house provides water pressure for surrounding neighborhoods of West Valley.
Firefighters had to shut down power while they got the flames under control.
The city says, however, the water system was not affected.
