(KSL News) Nine teens who started a wildfire near St. George last June will now have to write about it.

A judge sentenced the teens to 30 days detention, $500 restitution, more than 200 hours of community service and a 500-word essay.

The Jarvis wildfire burned more than 50,000 acres and cost more than $1.5 million to fight.

An adult was also charged but has not yet been sentenced.
