OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- A former Ogden fire captain continues to appeal his firing nearly seven years after the fact.
The latest appeal by Dan Harmon is scheduled for oral arguments before the Utah Court of Appeals on August 27.
Harmon was fired in December 2000 on charges that he missed meetings and his sexual banter brought sexual harassment complaints.
Harmon was reinstated once, and then fired again as his case wound its way through various appeals.
The current appeal is not tied to the facts of the case but is a civil rights claim that Harmon was denied due process.
