LAYTON -- Approximately 7000 students and teachers descended on Lagoon May 13 for USU's annual Physics Day, but only two talented high school students will have walked away with full-ride scholarships.
USU and the Idaho National Laboratory put together the event in order to provide a fun environment to learn and actually practice physics.
Contests and challenges included G-forces, Physics Demonstration Design, and Ride Design, each with prizes like free passes to Lagoon. However, the winner and runner-up of the Physics Bowl will both receive four-year, full-tuition scholarships to USU.
Unique this year is the incorporation of phone apps into the event.
