(KSL News) Utah is traditionally seen as conservative, but new numbers show liberal views are becoming more prevalent in the schools.
The state ranks 35th in the nation when it comes to the number of gay-straight alliances in schools.
There are 17 GSAs currently registered with the Lesbian and Straight Education Network. But the Utah Pride Center says that number may be higher since several schools they work with are not registered.
The first GSA in Utah was set up in 1995 at East High School.
