MILLCREEK — Two women were injured, one critically, in a head-on collision Friday morning.
About 7:40 a.m., a 52-year-old woman driving on 1300 East near 4500 South pulled over to the side of the road to talk on her cell phone.
While she was stopped, a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction crossed over all lanes of traffic for an unknown reason and hit the first woman's vehicle head-on, said Unified Police Lt. Justin Hoyal.
The 46-year-old female driver in the car that caused the accident was taken to a local hospital in extremely critical condition, Hoyal said. The 52-year-old woman was transported in serious condition, he said.
What caused the vehicle to cross all lanes of traffic was under investigation Friday.
