SANDY — A three-month KSL 5 News investigation reveals that the Canyons School District is not following state rules.

The Canyons School District is refusing to administer a reading assessment test that the Utah State Office of Education insists all school districts provide.

"I just … I find that frankly offensive that I would be accused of that," Canyons Superintendent David Doty told KSL News.

State education officials tell KSL that they weren't aware that the Canyons District was using a different test until we contacted them.
