RENO, Nev. (AP) -- A Reno man with six children has been arrested on charges he tried to hire a hit man to kill his wife in Utah so he could avoid a messy divorce and live with his boyfriend.
Police say 50-year-old had been asking a man for weeks to kill his wife and gave him the address where she lives in American Fork, Utah.
Detectives say Gau moved to Reno in the past several weeks after separating from his wife and telling her he was gay and wanted to live with his boyfriend.
Police say Gau allegedly gave the informant a photo of Sheryl, his wife of 28 years, with their six children.
Gau worked as a general manager for Mission Industries linen supply store in Carson City. He was in his work vehicle when he met the man about five o'clock last night in a parking lot.
