(KSL News) A chase this morning in Salt Lake County had a bizarre ending.
As a deputy tried to pull over a car for speeding near 1200 East Fort Union Blvd., the driver took off, eventually jumping out of his car while it was still moving.
The car smashed into a tree. The driver lost his shoes. Police caught up to him and found he had both meth and marijuana. They also discovered he had an outstanding warrant.
