SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Fireworks are still a big seller despite Governor Huntsman's urge for cities to ban them because of fire danger.
A spokesman for TNT Fireworks says sales are about the same as they were a year ago as Utah prepares to celebrate Pioneer Day on Tuesday.
Several cities have followed Huntsman's suggestion to ban private fireworks celebrations because of the hot, dry conditions that have several wildfires burning throughout the state.
But some cities have given residents the green light to celebrate with fireworks, but advise people to be careful.
