KAYSVILLE — A six hour standoff with police ended peacefully early Wednesday when a suicidal woman surrendered without further incident.

A woman, whose husband reportedly told police she had had a dispute at work, came home and locked herself in a room. When police tried to check on her, she refused to come out and said she would "shoot someone" if they tried to enter.

Police said the woman is active military and recently received disciplinary action at work.

A SWAT team was called to surround the house on Bonneville Lane and nearby residents were evacuated.

The woman surrendered peacefully about 1:30 a.m.
