(KSL News) Animal rights activists may sue Salt Lake City over a ban on residential protesting.

Earlier this week the council voted to ban picketing within 100 feet of a residence. That ban came after animal rights activists protested at the homes of researchers from the University of Utah.

Some activists and city council members worry the ban infringes on free-speech.
