(KSL News) The high price of gas has hit taxi drivers in Salt Lake City hard, and now fares are going up.
The city council granted a request to raise fares from a $1.80 a mile to $2.
The increase will give drivers about $20 more each day.
This is the third taxi rate increase since 1995.
