(KSL News) Another Utah Marine has died from injuries received in Iraq more than two years ago.

Thirty-one-year-old Faoa Apineru died from wounds received from a roadside bomb in May 2005.

These pictures, from the San Francisco Chronicle, show Apineru in rehabilitation at a Palo Alto VA Hospital.

Hospital workers say he made great strides in his rehabilitation and was always cheerful and optimistic.

Funeral services will be tomorrow in Riverton. He'll be buried at the Utah Veterans Memorial State Park.
