``Kingdom Keepers'' by Ridley Pearson, read by Gary Littman; Brilliance Audio (six hours, six compact discs, $29.95, unabridged)

What happens after a theme park closes for the night? Plenty of scary things if you happen to be an Orlando middle-schooler who has been hired to be the model for a new hologram guide to the Magic Kingdom.
Problem is the technology is unpredictable. Soon the guides find themselves transported into Disney World every night when they sleep. Eventually they must combat Disney villains who have been imagined into life. It sounds like a massive product placement campaign. And the Disney company did publish the book.
But this imaginative tale, written by a best-selling children's author, isn't corporate pap. Rides come to life and attack the children in ways Walt could never have imagined. The suspense and the danger are undeniable. If you still want to visit Disney World, you'll never look at the It's a Small World ride the same way again.
