Brooke Walker reporting Police were busy last night responding to two armed robberies within just hours of each other.

Authorities are now looking for suspects who they say could be dangerous.

Police Search for Suspects in Two Armed Robberies

Just after midnight a man walked through the drive-thru of a 24-hour McDonald's in Midvale. Walking through a drive through was the first clue something was up.

Things got serious when the man flashed a black handgun and demanded money. The cashier gave up the cash and the suspect took off.

Investigators are not exactly sure how he got away. One witness told police he jumped a fence and ran, but another witness says he made off in a car - no description of that vehicle, though.

Police could only describe the suspect as a man in his mid-40s.

Just hours earlier in Murray, another robbery took place.

In this situation, the robber posed as a customer. He walked right into a dry-cleaning store on 49th South around 7:30 pm.

The suspect requested his order and promptly walked out the door. Minutes later he was back, only this time with a gun. He demanded cash and the employees complied. And then he took off, running south on foot.

Police think it's possible the suspect knew the business was just about ready to close, and timed the robbery accordingly.

Officer Bass/Murray City Police Dept.: "The fact that he is armed, we'll go ahead and assume he's dangerous."

We have a better description on that second suspect. Officers are looking for a 25-year-old man, about 5-foot 10 inches with a thin build.

He was wearing a black Rolling Stones baseball cap, a light blue zip hooded sweatshirt, with a white dress shirt and red tie.

Officer Bass, Murray City Police Dept.: "At this point no luck in locating the suspect"

Luckily, no one was injured in either one of these armed robberies. But with such vague suspect descriptions, police are hoping for the public's help.

If you have any information about these crimes you are asked to call Murray or Midvale police.

At this point, police do not believe the robberies are related.

Officer Bass, Murray City Police Dept.: "At this point no luck in locating the suspect."
