(KSL News) We have new information about a hit-and-run that killed a couple who were hidden by the smoke of the Milford Flat fire. It may not have been a hit-and-run after all.
The Deseret Morning News reports the driver of the Subaru that hit Roy and Mary Ann Redmon did stop and ask for help.
Highway Patrol Troopers say the driver was told to wait because authorities were too busy dealing with the fire to help. When the fire got too close, troopers say the driver was either told to leave, or took off in the confusion.
