SALT LAKE CITY — Police are looking for two men involved in a shooting that injured a third man outside a social club early Saturday morning.

Salt Lake City Police Lt. Bryce Johnson said two men in a black Mercedes were arguing with a group of people a little after 1 a.m. in the parking lot outside Green Street, 602 E. 500 South.

The argument turned violent when one of the men got out of the car and fired two shots, striking a 26-year-old man in the leg. The men in the car then fled the scene, Johnson said.

The shooting victim was taken to an area hospital and was expected to survive.

Witnesses said both men looked to be in their early 20s. One of them is described as white with short brown hair and a goatee; the other is Polynesian with shoulder-length hair.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident or those involved to call 801-799-3000.
