Alex Cabrero ReportingA train collided with a parked car in North Salt Lake tonight. 1500 North along Main Street was closed off.

The real concern was that the train had explosives on board. Fortunately, we’re told, the explosives were stable enough not to cause a problem.

A woman apparently got stuck on the tracks. She called police to help her off the tracks, but the train arrived before the police.

The woman was able to get out of the car safely before the train hit.

At one point there was question regarding whether or not the surrounding area would have to be evacuated, but the explosives were determined to be stable enough that no evacuation was necessary.
