(KSL News) A sheriff's deputy responding to a call of a man threatening a woman ended up in the hospital last night.

A citizen called saying they heard a woman screaming that a man was trying to killer her. While on the way to check it out, the deputy's SUV was hit by a car that ran a red light at 3300 South and 2300 East.

It rolled, and the officer had to be taken from the vehicle. He received minor injures.

The driver of the other car, Shari Cusick, was arrested for DUI, driving on a suspended license and failure to yield.
