(KSL News) -- Some Cache Valley students are so upset over a surprise resignation of their award-winning middle school principal, they may stage a walk out today.
Principal Dan Johnson submitted his resignation Friday, ending a 16-year stint as head of Mount Logan Middle School. After meeting with the district's superintendent he cited "trust issues" and said he will step down at the end of the school year.
Now, in support of Johnson, some parents are organizing a letter-writing campaign, a rally in front of the school, and even a possible student strike.
Johnson isn't publicly airing his grievances, but he has hinted at his displeasure with new restrictions of some of the longer, more costly field trips.
