(KSL News) A shooting overnight in Magna has landed a 38-year-old man in the emergency room.
Sgt. Kris Ownby, with the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office, says the victim was apparently trying to act as peacemaker when the shooting occurred.
Police say he was shot twice. He was flown to the hospital in critical condition.
Ownby says that detectives are looking for several suspects who left in an unidentified vehicle.
Details are sketchy because a lot of the witnesses were drinking.
