(KSL News) A UVSC student who bought guns and told his roommates he wanted to kill police officers will undergo a mental evaluation.

Kiddus Yohannes is accused of buying high-powered guns illegally. During a hearing yesterday, Yohannes' attorney says his client doesn't want a mental evaluation and doesn't believe he has mental-health issues.

Police say Yohannes used false alien registration numbers at pawn shops in Orem and Provo to buy guns. They say he was obsessed with violent Internet videos and made several violent threats.
