Greg Neft, KSL NewsradioThe Park City School District says there may have been asbestos in an area of a demolished high school.
Steve Oliver, the director of support services, says the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will cite them for a small classroom area where the asbestos may have been.
But Oliver says at the time of the demolition, it wasn't clear asbestos was there. "We were told it was free of asbestos, so we relied on that information."
But then some employees started complaining about dust. OSHA investigated, and found a 1988 lab report that indicated it was there.
Oliver says he doesn't think anyone was exposed, since the area was kept wet while the building was being demolished.
