BLUFFDALE, Utah (AP) -- Bluffdale voters have stripped mayor Claudia Anderson of her administrative powers.

Nearly 67 percent of the 13-hundred voters who cast their ballots in a special election said they wanted to uphold a decision by the city council to have a city manager handle the day-to-day operation of city affairs.

That makes Anderson's title a largely ceremonial one.

Anderson and the council had bickered for months over the town's form of government.
