SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The economic value of the Sundance Film Festival's economic value has tripled over the past decade to nearly 60-(M)illion dollars.

The University of Utah Bureau of Economic and Business Research surveyors say Summit County raked in about 52-million of that. Most of that revenue came from out-of-state visitors.

Of the 48,000 people to attend the festival, about 29,000 of them came from outside of Utah.

This year, 48 percent of those at the festival were here for the first time.
