ROY, Utah (AP) -- The city of Roy is offering an amnesty program for people with outstanding misdemeanor warrants from Roy Circuit Court.
Beginning July 1st, all fees associated with the warrants will be waived for people who go to court and pay their fines. The fees are typically about $85 per warrant.
Police Chief Greg Whinham says the fees must be paid in full. He says a police warrant enforcement task force has been searching for people with outstanding warrants from the city court since late May.
