SALT LAKE CITY (June 22, 2007) - The Utah Jazz will host its annual draft day party at EnergySolutions Arena on Thursday, June 28. Doors open to the public at 4:30 p.m. with the draft broadcast, which originates from New York City, beginning at 5 p.m. (MT) on ESPN. A 2006-07 Jazz highlight video will be shown prior to the start of the draft broadcast.
Fans who attend the party at EnergySolutions Arena, sponsored by StoresOnline, will have the opportunity to watch the 2007 NBA Draft in its entirety on the AT&T SuperScreen as well as see the Jazz draft headquarters at center court where management and the coaching staff will give fans live updates throughout the night. Jazz broadcaster Craig Bolerjack will emcee the event, and the Nu Skin Jazz Dancers will be on hand. Fans in attendance will also have the chance to tour the Jazz locker room.
The first 3,000 fans through the door will receive an official NBA draft day guide and coupon good for a free hot dog, a Coke and a Jazz draft day bingo card. Similar to traditional bingo, instead of numbers on the bingo card, the Jazz draft day bingo card will contain the names of the top 45 draft prospects. As a player is drafted fans will place an "x" on that square. Fans who participate in draft day bingo will have the chance to win a Jazz autographed basketball, a Carlos Boozer autographed jersey and other exciting prizes.
The Jazz currently hold the 25th and 55th picks in the 2007 NBA Draft. The NBA Draft will be televised live from WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden beginning at 5 p.m. (MT) on ESPN.
