(KSL News) A West Valley City man accused of negligent homicide in his daughter's drowning death has been found not guilty.
James Sieverts faced the charges after his one-year-old daughter drowned in the bathtub.
A babysitter had put the girl in the tub, then left her alone for as long as 15 minutes.
During that time Sieverts came into the bathroom, saw the child playing in the water, then left again. A few minutes later, the babysitter found the girl face down in the tub.
Charges against the babysitter were dropped in September.
