(KSL News) A hang glider pilot dropped more than 50 feet and crashed tonight in Ferguson Canyon, near Big Cottonwood Canyon.
Investigators say people on the trail saw the man go down and ran to help him. He also called friends on his cell phone.
Rescuers found the man and say he has possible leg, chest and head injuries. They hoisted him out of the canyon,then took him to the hospital.
No word yet why the hang glider crashed.
