This is Lane Beattie, president of the Salt Lake Chamber, with your Metro Business Report. The Governor's Office of Economic Development has named Christina Oliver as the new Director of Corporate Recruitment and Incentives.

In her new capacity, Oliver will work with target industry cluster directors to identify key companies that may be looking for expansion opportunities in the state. She will manage the in-house incentives team and oversee disbursements from the state to companies awarded incentives.

Prior to this appointment, Oliver served as the GOED Incentives Manager, working with the applications from existing Utah companies seeking major expansion assistance and with out-of-state companies in the process of expanding or relocating. This work resulted in the successful recruitment and expansion of over 40 companies to the State of Utah, representing over 12-thousand new jobs and two-point-eight billion dollars in capital investment. --- Don't forget to join us tonight for the Chamber Holiday Party from five to seven on the 19th floor of the Key Bank Tower. Donations will be accepted for the Utah Food Bank.
