WELLS, Nev. (AP) -- The Nevada Highway Patrol says three people from Utah received moderate injuries in a pickup truck crash on Interstate 80 in northeastern Nevada.

The Elko Daily Free Press reported that 31-year-old Miguel Samaniego of Salt Lake City, an unnamed passenger from Taylorsville and Rogelio Marquez of West Jordan were treated at Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital for various injuries after the 7 a.m. Monday crash.

The NHP says Samaniego was driving when the 2004 Ford F-350 pickup and an attached trailer flipped over about 14 miles east of Wells.

The report says the trailer came unhitched, but was still attached by safety chains.

The NHP faulted Samaniego for driving too fast for conditions, but the report didn't say if he was issued any summonses.
