It’s never fun to have something break. But I suppose that sentiment is maxed out for the Orem family that had a crane fall into their house this morning.
The home owner Christine Clark told me the power company was putting a taller power poll in their backyard and they would have to use a crane over her house to get it done. She says a week ago she was worried about the idea. It appears she had a good reason to worry since the crane tipped over and sliced into her living room.
Yikes.
Three kids were in the house when the crane hit. None of them were hurt but said it was hard to see because the insulation had burst into a cloud inside.
It will be interesting to see who gets the bill on this one. The power company…or the crane company they hired to do the job.
