LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Pooh Williams scored a career-high 19 points, Tai Wesley added 16 points and a career-high 14 rebounds and Utah State defeated Long Beach State 81-53 Tuesday night.

Brian Green added 13 points for the Aggies (6-2), and coach Stew Morrill won his 300th game at Utah State.

Casper Ware scored 11 points to lead the 49ers (5-5) and Eugene Phelps had 10.

Wesley had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the first half to help Utah State build a 37-25 lead at intermission. The 49ers made just one of their first 13 shots after halftime, and the Aggies pushed their lead to 30 in the second half when they shot 60 percent.

Utah State outrebounded Long Beach State 42-31 and shot 49.2 percent overall.

Long Beach State coach Dan Monson received two technical fouls and was tossed 4 1/2 minutes into the game after coming out onto the court and arguing with officials.

"I thought one of their kids was taunting our bench a couple times in a row," Monson said. "I got on the court which is an automatic technical but you will have to ask the officials why I got the second one because I don't know. All I did was explain what was going on, in my mind."
