Paul Nelson, KSL Newsradio Utahns are taking time to reflect on the wonderful guidance they've received from their dads as Father's Day approaches.

Some of the advice dad gave was practical: "Find Happiness." "Go strong or go home." "My dad told me to go to college."

Some of his advice was really practical. "You know, don't pick your nose in public. It has worked well for me."

And, sure, he may have been wrong a few times and we might hold a grudge. "He didn't let me buy a Corvette."

But, in the end, most people I spoke with came to the same conclusion: "My dad was really a pretty cool guy."

And, they say that typically, dad never steered them wrong.
