(KSL News) The University of Utah is getting a new earthquake center, thanks to Kennecott Copper.
The company is donating $600,000 to the school for the center.
When it's finished, the center will be the nerve center for tracking quakes in Utah and parts of Idaho and Wyoming. A company spokesperson says they are pleased to be able to further the scientific endeavor.
